Couples therapy information

The most important thing to know about couple therapy is that I will not take sides and nobody will be seen as "the problem."

When a couple is having difficulties no one is "wrong." Whether the issue is money, jealousy, affairs, sexuality, communication problems, commitment, control, needing space, lack of intimacy, lack of understanding, etc, there are always two perceptions to every story and the two sides need to be heard and understood.

The sessions can be scheduled for both of you at the same time or individually, if there is a particular issue which needs to be dealt with.

We will discover what triggers the problems within the relationship promoting conflict rather than collaboration. Different Cognitive-Behavioural techniques will be used to deal with the type of problems you may present.
